Communications Fellowship

The Program

The 50+1 Strategies Fellowship is a paid part-time professional development program designed to train and cultivate the next generation of campaign professionals, community organizers, and change advocates. During the 10-week program, fellows will be exposed to a wide range of consulting work and will be given the opportunity to participate in a variety of projects across the firm’s client roster. Fellows will be placed in a department that matches their field of interest where they will receive professional mentorship and gain hands-on experience. In addition to their particular specialization, Fellows will attend weekly seminars/training covering other aspects of campaign and issue advocacy work in order to enrich and complement their experience and support their holistic growth as political professionals.

Who We Are:

50+1 Strategies is a premier political consulting and civic engagement firm specializing in advocating for progressive solutions to society’s complex problems. We operate at the local, state, and national levels to elect Democratic leaders into public office, advance important issues at the ballot box, and support causes that create positive change. We are currently with Everytown for Gun Safety, Planned Parenthood Votes, Reproductive Freedom For All, and on several other pivotal local, state, and federal races across the country. We offer a full suite of in-house capabilities under one roof – from grassroots organizing, public relations strategy, online advocacy, advertising and media buying, creative content production, research and analysis, messaging and communications, and much more.

Our team is made up of diverse professionals who have demonstrated success in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. We pride ourselves on being a full-service civic engagement firm that brings heart and hustle to everything we do.  We aim to build issue-based movements and electoral campaigns that reflect the communities around them, empower and strengthen volunteer leadership, and engage people in a meaningful way.
