Jen D. Rafanan

Senior Designer

Jen D. Rafanan loves when she can merge her creative talents with her passion for advocacy and utilize them to help amplify the voices of those who struggle to be heard. She is excited to continue this in her role as Senior Designer at 50+1 Strategies.

An established artist, designer, photographer, and the small business owner of a progressive creative boutique, Jen is equally known for her activism and leadership in state and national politics.

Jen has worked on countless political campaigns and with non-profit organizations at local, state, and national levels. Whether as staff, vendor, or a volunteer, she has helped with branding, communications, and designing campaign merch and literature, as well as, organizing, phone/text banking, strategic consulting, training, and more.

Sometimes going outside of her creative role, she also takes part in issue based actions and organizing. Jen called on Jeff Sessions to resign at a press conference in front of the US Department Of Justice, and also wrote an op-ed piece about reproductive justice and accessible healthcare that was published in The Hill.

Jen has served on numerous boards including Democratic state party roles, a reproductive justice centered non-profit, and the advisory council for a no-kill animal shelter.

She and her partner of 15+ years, Al, expanded their family in 2018 when they adopted Agapi, the sweetest rescue pitbull ever. When not creating or advocating, she loves spending time with family and friends, journaling, cooking, traveling, and Star Wars.
